James Wood will be joining fellow speaker Laurent Cazier at the Safety Connect Series in September 2008.

Laurent will present an overview of the general common law principals in workers compensation in Queensland and answer questions such as: What is a common law claim and the re-proceeding process? Will I be covered by my accident insurance policy and how can I assist WorkCover throughout the process?

James Wood will be presenting his popular presentation on Choices: Making the right choice for safety sake.

James will share his message of ‘choice’, which he hopes will help other people to avoid the same mistakes he has made. James made the wrong safety decision once and now he has to live with it for the rest of his life. At a time in James’ life when he should have been thinking about having the time of his life, he had to learn how to live again. James was just 21 years of age, working as an enthusiastic and committed mechanic in the mining industry, when he had an accident that left him in a wheelchair for life. Everything that he used to be able to do became a new learning experience for him. Since then, James has been determined to live a full life and has turned  to exercise to exert his frustrations.

The one choice you make could make all the difference for the rest of your life.
