Time to focus
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 1:11 PM Welcome to 2009, I hope you all had a good and safe festive season, I look forward to catching up with old friends during the year and making new ones during my safety travels.
No doubt by now you will all be aware that we are amidst a Global meltdown financially. Regardless of your personal or professional situation we are all going to feel the effects of this crisis.
Even if you have money in the bank and relatively little debt you will see how others are affected, you will notice that workmates and friends are struggling or even just worrying about "Things".
This is why this year we MUST maintain the focus on safety.
Sure there are problems out there, overseas customers are not as flush with cash and we must make sure we deliver what they want..... But all of this is irrelevant if we hurt ourselves and then can't do our job!
I've already been asked out to several sites to ask workers to maintain the focus on doing our jobs, but doing it better and doing it SAFER than we have in the past. This is the way to get through this "Crisis" lets all work harder, but lets work safer to make sure we can still enjoy life, pay our bills, buy our toys and most of all go home at the end of the day.
