This month i have been in Tasmania. I shared my experience with TCCI in Hobart, then across to Rosebery to an MMG minesite. lots of beautiful things to see in Tasmania. I brought my car across on the boat this trip, have my bike in the back.

Yesterday i went for a mountain bike ride to a waterfall near the town i am staying in. After 1 hour and 40 minutes of riding, crossing two creeks and being within 1km of the falls i came across a tree that had fallen across the path.

For you it would have been a simple matter of climbing over the fallen limb, but there was absolutely no way that i could get past.

So to cut a long story short i had to turn back & did not make it to the waterfall.

Sure i had a great ride, I really enjoyed crossing the creeks in my bike, but i never made it to the destination.

Have a think about how you would cope if this happened to you, i was able to take out of it the experience of the ride & the great scenery.... but i have to admit being a little P#*!ed off that i could not make it.

Some days being in a wheelchair really sucks!
